Architectural Styles: A Visual Guide

Look out later this year for the the follow-up to my first book. The new book, Architectural Styles: A Visual Guide, examines the history of western architecture through the styles which have defined it from ancient Greece to the present day. It will be published by Laurence King in the autumn.

Reading Architecture: A Visual Lexicon

I am pleased to say that my first book has now been translated into French, Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch, Polish and Japanese. Russian, Korean and Chinese editions will be published over the next year. The book is available in good bookshops and online.

From the Shadows

I am currently working on a book exploring the architecture and legacy of the seventeenth- and early-eighteenth-century architect, Nicholas Hawksmoor, who is best known for his six great London churches. Entitled From the Shadows: The Architecture of Nicholas Hawksmoor, it will be published next year by Reaktion.
