From the Shadows

I am pleased to announce that my book From the Shadows: The Architecture and Afterlife of Nicholas Hawksmoor, which explores the work and legacy of the seventeenth- and early-eighteenth-century architect, Nicholas Hawksmoor, will be published by Reaktion in November 2015.

Reading Architecture: A Visual Lexicon

My first book has now been translated into French, Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch, Polish and Japanese. Russian, Korean and Chinese editions will be published over the next year. The book is available in good bookshops and online.

Have you ever wondered what the difference is between Gothic and Gothic Revival, or how to distinguish between Baroque and Neoclassical? Then keep an eye out for my second book, Architectural Styles: A Visual Guide, which examines the styles that have defined western architecture from ancient Greece to the present day.
